Job Title:
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Overview: Rest Assured Home Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. As a CNA, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with activities of daily living, ensure their safety and well-being, and promote their independence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Personal Care Assistance:
Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning. Support clients in maintaining personal hygiene and appearance.
Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals. Ensure accurate documentation of medication administration. Monitor and report any changes or concerns regarding medication efficacy or side effects.
Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly check and record clients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature. Report any abnormalities or significant changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help clients with eating, meal preparation, and feeding assistance. Provide support with ambulation, exercise, and range of motion activities. Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
Emotional Support and Companionship:
Foster a compassionate and supportive relationship with clients. Engage in meaningful conversation and provide emotional support. Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote well-being.
Client Safety and Well-being: Ensure a safe and hazard-free environment for clients. Implement fall prevention measures and assist with mobility devices. Promptly report any concerns or incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and care documentation. Report any changes in clients' condition or incidents to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Document daily care activities and observations.
Requirements:
- Valid Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a home care or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and practices.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
