We are seeking a dedicated, resourceful and driven tax professional with experience in Americas mobility tax. You’ll join a worldwide team responsible for international, domestic and cross border relocations, assignments and experiences. You will draw on your tax expertises for the Americas region in supporting the Talent Mobility relocation managers to advise, lead and support the relocation of new and transferring employee. This position will provide critical support and advice working with a number of business partners and our external tax provider to ensure compliance within our mobility program.

Description

In this role, you will act as an Americas tax support, drawing on your expertise to advice and support the Talent Mobility relocation team and the business. Support Americas payroll and tax compliance processes, reporting and sourcing and tax reporting & filing processes with outside tax vendor and Apple’s americas payroll teams. Includes overseeing escalation, vendor efficient execution to ensure a positive employee experience. Demonstrable understanding of domestic and international compensation and benefits, expatriate package components. Develop and maintain process documentation including reviewing and updating the process as we see new changes - always striving for efficiencies in processes. Manage the monthly Americas payroll tax reporting by ensuring relocation monthly data is being sent to the payroll teams Ensuring that policy and programs are aligned to business needs - partnering with Talent Mobility relocation managers to develop mobility offerings This role will support new and existing talent covering international, domestic and cross border projects including relocations, assignments and career experiences Strategic Partner: Display curiosity and understand the business line nuances, market complexities, budget considerations, etc. in order to advise partners on appropriate mobility path in line with project and resource needs and timelines Internal and External Relationship Management: Develop, cultivate and grow deep, professional relationships at all levels Project Management: Develop, scope, and or help drive projects as needed Critical thinking: Assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and provide innovative, flexible solutions to complex and unique problems and communicate them in an agile and accessible way

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge of mobility tax, payroll and equity considerations for mobile employees

  • Demonstrable experience in relocation and americas tax compliance, 10+ years overall related experience/similar experience with a multi-national company

  • CPA or equivalent required

  • Minimum of BA/BS or equivalent is required

  • Motivated self-starter, able to thrive in a fasted paced environment with quick changing business needs.

  • Successful track record partnering with all levels of clients and partners (HR, Recruiting, Business leaders, etc.)

  • Develop, design and conduct training for clients and stakeholders on ongoing basis in relation to Americas tax matters

  • Excellent communication skills, be highly organised and detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to use data and analytics to build insights for planning purposes, reporting on trends and key data to develop the program further

  • Experience with Mac OS and workday knowledge is a plus

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,200 and $255,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
