The Apple Service Engineering(ASE) team builds and provides systems and infrastructure that fuel Apple’s services (such as iCloud, iTunes, Siri, and Maps). We are the foundation on which Apple’s software developers build the products that our customers love. We are looking for passionate and talented Site Reliability Engineering Manager to continue our focus in providing our customers the highest quality Apple Services experience. The Systems SRE organization designs, develops and operates Fleet Management Services including core infrastructure to provide fast, secure and reliable data center infrastructure at scale for individual workloads or entire platforms to build upon

Key Qualifications

• Experience with distributed systems

• Demonstrable success leading engineering teams; ideally SRE or Production Engineering

• Knowledge of core operating system principles, networking fundamentals, and systems management

• Understanding of SRE principals, including monitoring, alerting, error budgets, fault analysis, and other common reliability engineering concepts

• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization

• Proficient in at least one of Python, Golang or Java

Description

The Systems SRE organization needs a strong leader to manage critical infrastructure components including provisioning, configuration management, security and more. Working closely with team, you'll help run critical core infrastructure used by rest of Apple.

Education & Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science or Equivalent (5+ years of software development or production operations experience in a large-scale environment)

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $192,700.00 and $289,800.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
