We’re looking for a Staff Engineer to help lead our team as it builds and ships the next generation of digital wellbeing features at Apple. Our challenge is to deliver an experience that is simple to use and understand even as our system’s features get more advanced. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent skills and work experience
Track record of success — you have 5+ years of SwiftUI/Swift or UIKit/AppKit/Objective-C software engineering experience with impact to show for it
Technical excellence – you design clear, maintainable abstractions with clear failure modes and write robust, performant, unit-tested code that delivers a great user experience
Critical thinking with influence — you systematically evaluate the tradeoffs associated with each potential solution, make an informed decision, and communicate well to influence others

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
