Description

You will lead and develop Apple Retail’s People Finance and FP&A teams. Collaborating with Retail’s regional / global leadership teams and worldwide Apple stakeholders, you will provide valuable support to core strategic areas. People Finance - Key areas of focus include: - Forecast accuracy of complex People Expense for Retail - Building activity models for all zones to forecast hours needs at a store and team level - Partnering with cross-functional retail teams to influence and devise strategy where labor needs are impacted - Working through country labor complexities to devise hiring plan to meet these needs - Aligning with SVP for Retail to ensure plans are complete and take into account labor and business nuances - Partnership across People, Legal, Scheduling, and Recruiting teams - Partnership with field leadership (20+ Senior Directors and Directors) to ensure plans meet individual regional needs Ad hoc analysis and problem solving across the People space Demand Forecasting and Analysis - Key areas of focus include: - Forecast accuracy of annual expense and sales adjustments on Retail’s annual revenue - Deep partnership with Retail Leadership Team to manage their headcount and expense line items - Partnership with GBS to ensure control over expense line items and accuracy of accounting entries - Partnership with WWSF to ensure accuracy and understanding of sales adjustments forecasts - Partnership with Corporate FP&A to manage forecast expectations and roll up forecast - Team covers divisional controller responsibilities for all of Retail spend - Diverse basket of cost items drive a wide range of stakeholder interactions

Minimum Qualifications

  • 15 years of progressive Finance experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business; MBA a plus

  • A hands-on financial leader with experience in a fast-paced, global and matrix environment, who will serve as a knowledgeable and trusted partner for several Retail leadership teams

  • Demonstrated ability to partner and influence cross-functionally to identify, evaluate and execute strategic priorities and operational opportunities

  • Strong leadership skills with the presence to effectively set and communicate vision and direction across evolving, ambiguous and diverse cross-functional teams and environments

  • Proven ability to advise and challenge others while building and maintaining positive working relationships across organization levels and functional boundaries

  • Experience crafting cross functional solutions that incorporate multiple and competing points of view and embrace meticulous attention to detail

  • Develop and promote financial acumen and accountability across the organization. Experience developing and driving robust data solutions and tools to provide deeper insights across an organization.

  • Commitment to lead, motivate, coach and develop a dynamic team of high performing finance professionals that are responsible for financial and business analyses that support key areas of investment

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $244,900 and $392,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
