You will engage early in development to enable new technologies that go across Apple Products.

Description

To be a successful team member within Product Operations you will lead and manage the Operations technical team (DFx, DFm, Test, SQE, PQE and others) during product development and high volume production. As the senior technical advisor for the product line, you will partner closely with the Engineering throughout the lifecycle of development to enable operational success through to mass production. -Ensure operational technical readiness for all phases of the introduction cycle, including driving contract manufacturer preparation for pre-production builds -Develop test strategy for outgoing functional quality in mass production and service channels -Develop custom test solution / tools for assessing outgoing quality -Monitor Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) and Customer Audit (CA) processes at OEM sites -Develop triage process for customer facing issues and lead technical failure analysis to support root cause analysis and issue resolution -Debug Factory OQC/CA and Field Returns functional fails to identify gaps and improvement in outgoing test process -Travel internationally to support new product development builds (up to 25%)

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of industry experience in one or more of the following disciplines: New Product Introduction / Test development / HW Design

  • BS degree in Engineering or Computer science

  • Obsessively passionate, inquisitive and self-starter, who seeks to pursue everyday problems in innovative ways

  • Laser-focused on the smallest details and versatile with multiple programming languages like C, C#, Objective C, Swift and Python

  • Experience partnering with off-shore manufacturers, high volume production and traveling to manufacturing sites

  • Experience with hardware test development for manufacturing

  • Good understanding of RF technologies and automation of RF signaling testers

  • Excellent knowledge of statistics and statistical process control

  • Clear and consistent communication, including exec level presentation skills

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $122,300 and $184,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
