The Apple Services Engineering team builds products and services for our customers, and helps the rest of Apple do that too. These are the people responsible for products such as Apple Music, Podcasts, TV+, tvOS, App Store, iCloud, Business & Education, as well as technologies like Commerce, Search & Recommendations, and many more. This team also builds and manages cloud infrastructure, supporting teams and services across Apple. And they do it on a massive scale, meeting Appleʼs high expectations with high performance to deliver global services. We’re looking for a collaborative, organized and strategic leader with a passion for improving organizational efficiency, establishing business process and managing change. You will work in a range of capacities from strategic planning, promoting effective communication, process development, and supporting special projects. You will lead a team of program managers, who provide dedicated support to senior leaders in Apple Services Engineering, and partner on developing standards and scalable shared processes to enable the organization.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build effective relationships and work well with a wide variety of people across functions and levels; executive leadership, recruiting, administrative support, program management and engineering

  • 5 years+ of direct people management experience, ideally as part of a technical organization

  • Experience as a Chief of Staff, Operations Manager, Business Manager or similar

  • Proven ability to manage large, complex projects effectively in fast-paced and global team

  • Excellent organization skills, acute attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment

  • A business-minded strategic planner with experience in data analysis and budget management

  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complex information to be easily digestible for a variety of audiences

  • Curious, flexible and a dedicated problem solver. Listening and learning are key

  • Experience planning and executing virtual or in person team events such as leadership offsites, All Hands or connection events

  • Flexible and adaptable working style; can easily accommodate changes in priorities

  • Strong sense of professionalism; able to work autonomously on assignments and handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion

  • Excellent meeting facilitation and presentation skills

  • Experience working with software engineering organizations preferred

  • Experience with Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and other Apple tools preferred

Description

We’re looking for a Manager with great interpersonal skills, who is passionate about driving improvements in organization process, communication and tooling. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders across ASE, as well as partner teams across Services and Apple. In this role, you’ll be responsible for: * Identifying cultural areas for improvement and turning them into action in partnership with the People team. This could include leadership development, organizational goals and planning, communications and events * Establishing organizational tools and reporting to inform decision making and drive strategic initiatives * Managing organizational change * Driving adoption and measuring the impact of standard practices and tools across the organization * Partnering with executive leadership to establish operational rhythm of business for their organizations, support the implementation of new ideas and processes, and additional support during times of significant organizational change * Partnering with Leadership to plan and run strategic offsites * Leading a team of program managers to meet the highest priority needs and maximize their impact To be succesful in this role, you will need to build effective partnerships across Apple and facilitate communication between cross functional groups. You’ll bring the right players together to solve problems and focus on how to develop repeatable, scalable solutions.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $168,900.00 and $281,400.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
