As a part of Apple’s R&D Finance team you will partner with Apple’s engineering teams to plan, analyze, and manage the finances for some of the world’s most innovative engineering development projects. Description

You will work with a variety of product development & cross-functional teams, supporting high energy and fast paced business partners. Your responsibilities will include forecasting and planning, light accounting close activities, reporting and analytics, and decision support. You will work directly with the engineering teams to develop and manage budgets for product development and build costs based on project roadmap. You will interact directly with engineering DRI’s to assess team spend against budget and prepare org-wide budget updates for engineering and finance leadership. It is imperative that you demonstrate analytical prowess, critical thinking and command of the details. You will be expected to continually drive tangible improvements to all aspects of your role and your interactions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor's in Finance or other related degree

  • 3+ years of experience in a related field in a high performing organization

  • Work well under pressure, within deadlines

  • Proven ability to deliver high quality work

  • Strong Excel skills, and experience with SAP, Essbase and Tableau

  • Work well independently and within a team environment

  • Outstanding technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with accruals and other quarterly accounting entries

  • A passion for new technologies, and ability to understand and speak to the details thereof

  • Comfortable providing training & guidance on a variety of Finance policies and processes

  • Ability to manage multiple programs or projects at once, and to self-direct your efforts as appropriate among competing priorities

  • Experience in an R&D Finance role and/or support engineering organization preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $105,200 and $158,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
