We are a group of engineers responsible for information intelligence at Apple. We build systems to connect Apple users to information as part of the wider Apple Intelligence initiative. You will work closely with our machine learning and product teams to deliver innovative features combining cutting edge software and state of the art ML techniques that can provide value to millions of users in Apple products.

Description

In this role, you'll be working to define and implement the architecture of Apple's groundbreaking search technology across our entire range of products. You'll work closely with multiple teams across the organization, integrating innovative machine learning algorithms to power products including Siri and Spotlight. Successful candidates should be passionate about software architecture, system design, as well as the overall user experience and can make informed tradeoffs and optimizations to deliver great mobile experiences!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in Objective-C, Swift and/or C++ Experience in developing frameworks, system architecture and designing application programming interfaces

  • Meticulous attention to detail and dedication to quality

  • Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical topics and ability to communicate sophisticated ideas

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent proven experience

Key Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and infrastructure, LLM (Large Language Models) is a plus

  • Experience in performance optimization and knowledge of profiling tools and techniques is a plus

  • Knowledge and experience in search and indexing technologies is a plus

  • Master is preferred

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
