Sony Pictures Entertainment Sr Manager, Digital Partner Marketing in Culver City, California

The Senior Manager, Digital Partner Marketing will support the Executive Director of Marketing & Digital Media (EDM) in all digital brand and marketing initiatives. This role reports directly to the Executive Director, Marketing & Digital Media and supports and executes Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy’s linear and digital marketing strategies and planning, including project managing key marketing promotions and brand integrations/ partnerships.  The purpose of the role is to manage partner/integration marketing initiatives and overall marketing day-to-day at the direction of EDM and in collaboration with internal Sony groups and cross-functional teams.  This role coordinates at the strategic and tactical levels with other functions of the studio, show, and vendors to create and execute Wheel of Fortune’s and Jeopardy!’s promotions and daily marketing activities.  This position supports EDM’s vision and strategy execution across marketing channels. Responsibilities to include but are not limited to: 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Project manage the linear and digital sweepstakes, promotions and branded partnerships for the syndicated and Primetime formats of the show. This entails working closely with EDM, partners digital creative and other cross-functional teams for the execution of marketing campaigns, digital buys, and tentpole events. Includes joint promotion agreements, pitches and cross-channel deliverables proposals and decks.

Collaborate with the team on upcoming and ongoing brand integrations and proposals, marketing initiatives and overall marketing strategy and planning that aligns with business objectives.

Regular communication and collaboration with marketing and creative teams to ensure cross-channel marketing cohesiveness, and alignment on partnerships and marketing campaigns. All marketing will be directed by EDM and guided by Wheel of Fortune’s & Jeopardy!’s show/production schedule and theme weeks, VTR dates, promotions, and key initiatives.

Coordinate with Sony’s internal Performance Media Group (PMG) social buys for partner integrations and contestant casting campaigns. Works with PMG on targeting layers for these buys.

Candidate must have strong business background and experience in marketing across linear and digital media channels. Candidate should be forward thinking, collaborative, strategic and passionate about the evolving TV industry ‘big picture’ and the changing landscape. Ideal candidate will be able to handle conflict with ease and poise. 

Candidate must possess knowledge of, and experience in, marketing management, partnership management, project management, budgets management, proficiency in all digital and social media platforms and strategy, KPIs, and brand management. 

Knowledge of: Intermediate marketing management, experienced project management, fundamentals of business and budgets. Proficiency in all social media platforms and brand management. 

 Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, and/or Communications and/or 5 years of equivalent experience. 

  • Knowledge of entertainment (TV) and digital marketing. 

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 

  • Mac experience a must

  • Knowledge of strategic conversion rate optimization
