Position Summary: The Senior Design Engineer will play a critical role in developing custom products, leading engineering projects, and optimizing manufacturing support. This position involves detailed design work, complex problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration to improve existing product lines and develop new solutions for industrial applications. Key Responsibilities: Engineering & Product Design: Develop and oversee detailed 2D/3D CAD models and engineering drawings for standard and custom products using Creo and AutoCAD. Lead the engineering change process, ensuring design modifications align with quality, manufacturability, and cost objectives. Conduct stress analysis to ensure structural integrity and product reliability. Define design standards and ensure compliance with GD&T and industry regulations. Technical Leadership & Product Development: Spearhead new product development, from concept design to testing and commercialization. Guide the development of hydraulic and mechanical systems, including integration of sensors, control components, and software-driven automation. Oversee prototype development, working closely with the manufacturing team for validation and process improvement. Evaluate materials and processes to enhance product performance and durability in demanding applications. Quoting & Customer Solutions: Serve as a technical expert for custom product quoting, collaborating with sales, manufacturing, and vendors to define costs and feasibility. Work closely with customer service to translate customer needs into engineering solutions. Provide on-site and remote technical support, assisting in troubleshooting pre-sale and post-sale applications.
