Millennium Corporation is hiring a Software Systems Engineer in Crystal City, VA. Candidate must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.
The Software Systems Engineer will be responsible for the data and document collection, maintenance, tracking, monitoring, and review of all Program related milestone data. Candidate must have Army DCGS-A and C5 experience with engineering or project management role as a primary element of recent experience.
Will be responsible for:
Leading data collection of all formal tollgate documentation, reviewing for completeness and dissemination to all vendors and stakeholders in conjunction with program schedule
Execution of a documentation plan that outlines tasks, milestones, responsibilities, and timelines
Implementing a communications plan to align program objectives, documentation artifacts, and schedule milestones and ensure all vendors adhere to requirements
Responsible for the delivery of tollgate documentation in final form to include presentation materials, supplemental artifacts, and communicating timelines to the government
Engage with all vendors as the primary POC for data collection and devising the strategic plan to eliminate redundancy, inaccuracies, and improper documentation to support each tollgate review
Maintaining the validity of documentation and content within the documentation library to support each tollgate, their review, and updates as necessary
Direct and disseminate action items/due outs for the broader project team ensure that all vendors adhere to the timeline schedule
Engage in establishing weekly communication cadence as part of the communication plan
Serve as the primary POC for all Program milestone documentation collection, review, maintenance, tracking, and dissemination in preparation for each tollgate
Tasking and maintaining accountability across all vendors to ensure all milestone deliverables and supplemental artifacts are delivered on-time
Ability to organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and execution of all technical documentation to support tollgate reviews
Candidate must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or related field
Have proven experience with DCGS-A and Army specific project work
Have the ability to engage with engineering departments from multiple vendors to coordinate and hold vendors accountable for engineering artifact delivery
Excellence in managing delivery of software/systems deliverables
Outstanding communication skills and possesses the ability to engage with others for schedule accountability
4-6 years of experience
Proven technical and management experience, coordinating materials from inception to deployment, of one or more projects
Awareness of NexGen technologies support Army C5 specifically DCGS-A
Must be able to plan and execute project role with limited supervision and engage with senior managers and those in authority to define objectives
PMP Certification desired
Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.
Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time.
Up to 10% travel required
