Bucks County Community College Instructional & Equipment Specialist in Croydon, Pennsylvania
The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that our programs have the necessary resources to operate in an effective and efficient manner. This position must have working knowledge and experience with the inspection, maintenance, and operation of emergency services equipment, as well as experience with statewide public safety training system.
This position is responsible for the distribution/delivery of course manuals, safety equipment, and training props. This position is responsible for updating the manuals when new versions come out, updating manual inventory, and re-ordering manuals printed at the College or from outside vendors. All equipment must be checked, packaged/boxed, and shipped or delivered to the lead instructor. This position is also responsible for the transportation of instructional personnel to and from the airports for continental U.S. or overseas assignments. Often this position is required to make these transportation runs early in the morning or late at night. Notice for these assignments could be less than 24 hours. This Department conducts approximately 3,000 courses annually. This position is also required to operate training props and equipment to assist instructors during the lab portions of the training course; many of our courses are delivered at off-site locations and at different work shifts.
Hourly Rate: $21.2488 - $22.7362 (hourly rate is determined based on experience above the minimum qualifications)

Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or general equivalency with specialized technical or vocational training and 1 - 3 years of job-related experience.
3 years of fire service experience.
Strong work ethic, flexibility, and adaptability for a changing work schedule and environment.
Knowledge and experience with the maintenance and operation of emergency services equipment and training props.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Flexible schedule for special assignments.
Certification(s) in emergency services field.
