Our Finance team plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. It delivers significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, controllership, funding, and capital structure to honor our stakeholder commitments. The team’s work is invaluable to informing leadership decision making, complying with regulatory requirements, and maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.

How you will create an impact

You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio, and coordinating all activities pertaining to the collection of debts (premium due), while monitoring and overseeing, identifying, and communicating across teams to ensure that smooth collection operation processes (https://www.qwikresume.com/resume-samples/collections-associate/) are adhered to.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Be the “front” interface between our onsite Product Towers & Broker partners as well as our offshore back-office operations.

  • Communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams.

  • Coordinate and track the reviews, internal / external / on-site/offshore as necessary.

  • Provide status reporting of each area against the schedule of work.

  • Lead interacts/interlocks with identified onsite offshore Collections leads for each deliverable.

  • Ensure deliverables are prepared to satisfy the premium collection requirements.

  • Facilitate problem solving and collaboration, identify resolutions where these cannot be resolved by the said team.

  • Coordinates meetings with the functional management to discuss performance, resolve issues/delays in completing the task.

  • Coach and help develop offshore team members, assure that they have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team.

  • Establish meeting times, places, and agendas, ensure discussions and decisions lead to closure.

  • Build and maintain relationships with outsource providers, product tower (business partners) and Brokers.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivots

  • Able to apply strong analytical skills and thought processes

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in creating PowerPoint based reports.

  • Credit Control experience.

  • Good understanding of Insurance business, as well as reconciliation guidelines.

  • Attention to detail and quality assurance.

  • Experience in the Property Casualty Insurance Premium Collections environment – desirable.

  • Willingness to travel when necessary (minimum)
