Cuyuna Regional Medical Center * ICU Crosby, MN Nursing Part Time Over, 12-hour Day Shift FTE: .6 FTE (48 hours per pay period) Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend Posted 01/09/2025 Req # 13753 POSITION SUMMARY Registered Nurses provide direct care to patients and are a part of all care given by other departments. Registered Nurses must continually strive to provide the highest quality care possible for the patients. They must also lead the nursing team toward the achievement of the goals of the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. High quality care and overall efficiency are essential components to this success. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in nursing required. 3-5 years of experience required in Intensive Care and/or Emergency Department settings. Simulation delivery and educational development experience preferred. Effective 1/13/22, must complete (and maintain) the Clinical Recognition Program (CRP) within 2 years of becoming an RN Coordinator. License/Certificates: Current Minnesota RN license. American Heart Association BLS required within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association ACLS required within 4 months of hire. PALS required within 1 year of hire. Special Skills and Aptitudes: Experience with public speaking. Knowledge and skills to implement nursing theory. Demonstrates mature judgment, initiative and proficiency in nursing skills. Effective teaching ability and ability to assess and set learning objectives for orientees and current employees. Knowledge and use of community resources. Effective communication and professional and positive interpersonal skills. Demonstrates leadership qualities and organizational abilities. May be assigned to specialty areas. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Critical Care RN Coordinator: Develop and deliver critical care education and simulation for orientation of new employees and to review new practice standards and ongoing competency. Assist with initial assessments and patient evaluations. Develop, implement and monitor individual care plans and safety/risk assessments. Accreditation coordination and oversight. Coordinate quality trending practice and recommendations for improvement. Policy and procedure development and auditing for compliance. Provide day to day mentoring, precepting and direction to staff. Program management and experience with meeting facilitation. Coordination and oversight of workflow to assure exceptional service, communication, efficiency and safety. Assure positive work environment and positive team communication and interactions. Demonstrate Standards of Excellence when other duties are assigned. RN: Exercises concern for the patient's welfare, maintains knowledge of the patient's condition, administers medication and performs treatment while practicing high ethical standards. Responsible for direct and indirect care of patients assigned to him/her under the guidance of nursing leadership, maintains accurate and complete records of nursing assessment and care, and counsels of the client and family in meeting nursing related needs. Provide appropriate care for patients who will be undergoing or are recovering from orthopedic surgery. Remains up-to-date on new nursing skills and technology while utilizing the nursing process (observation, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the delivery of care. Performs duties in accordance with physician's orders, the Medical Center's policies, methods, and techniques, and in coordinating with other departments and Medical Center personnel. The pay range for this role is $42.33 to $60.79.
