Taco, Inc. Sales Analyst in Cranston, Rhode Island

The sales analyst will report, evaluate and predict sales trends to optimize all sales strategies, provide accurate SOP/forecast planning, and increase productivity and performance of the sales organization. The sales analyst will create custom and standardized reports, utilizing intel such as competitive pricing, distribution channels, competitive sales models, product comparisons and other relevant data. Working closely with other internal departments, the analyst will produce reports and evaluations of overall market and local sales results, promotion initiatives, key product targets, regional and national customers (OEM, Rep, and Wholesale), Buying Group data, and ad hoc reports as requested.

Measures of success:

  • SOP/Forecast process

  • Sales KPI deliverables (data)

  • Customer sales reporting interface

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Creating and maintaining Power BI reports

  • Collects data from sales reports for analysis.

  • Develops methods and strategies for assessing sales performance, predicting trends, analyzing current sales results, and delivering data to key stakeholders.

  • Creates and provides sales analysis reports, databases, summaries, and recommendations to management on a timely basis.

  • Facilitates and inputs for sales accurate SOP/forecasting information

  • Accumulates, analyzes, maintains, and issues market share data for existing and potential products, markets, and customers.

  • Accumulates, analyzes, and maintains a competitive pricing data base.

  • Supports execution of promotion initiatives, merchandising initiatives, marketing and sales strategies.

  • Attends and participates in sales strategies meetings to present sales trend data, etc.

  • Supports the planning process for both short and long-term strategic sales plans.

  • Performs other related duties as required or directed.

The Sales Analyst will work primarily in an office environment. At times, there may be exposure to warehouse or lab settings where safety equipment or personal protective gear is required.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Research, Business Administration, Statistics or Economics with 3+ years of experience performing analysis, market research, and maintaining related databases; or 5+ years of directly applicable market research and analysis experience, preferably in HVAC or related industry, in lieu of degree.

  • Must demonstrate high analytical ability, the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Research, Business Administration, Statistics or Economics with 5+ years of experience performing market research, analysis, and maintaining related databases

  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Office products, including strong Excel skills using pivot tables and vlookup. Experience using Logi Data Warehouse, Power BI and Reporting Tool preferred.
