Position Description

Primary purpose:

  • This position is responsible for providing technical support to operations.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • A seasoned and highly competent professional handling relatively complex assignments.

  • Coordinates efforts to maintain government and contractual compliance.

  • Provides in-depth data management and analyses.

  • Maintains corporate operating reporting requirements.

  • Trains other technicians and co-workers to handle more complex assignments.

  • Self-directed requiring minimum supervision making system wide improvements.

  • Performs variety of tasks in support of company operating staff.

  • Performs user support for software systems to other technical personnel, including installation and maintenance of software and troubleshooting user problems.

  • Provides operational related troubleshooting, leadership, and support.

  • Coordinates inspections, testing, repair, installation and equipment repair and improves work processes.

  • Prepares and implements AFEs and project recommendations.

    Position Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Experience / specific knowledge:

  • 10+ years experience in the oil and gas industry and/or equivalent industry.

  • Understanding and familiarity with EOR processes, Natural Gas Processes, or Drilling and Workover practices, as required by the job function.

Certifications, licenses, registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record may be required.

Competencies, skills, and abilities:

  • Proficient computer skills and use of applicable computer applications.

  • Accurately and promptly loads and verifies data and generates reports based on standard procedures.

  • Demonstrates a highly competent working knowledge of technology, applications, terminology, and procedures required of the job function.

  • Ability to apply extensive knowledge and experience to a wide variety of situations and recommend solutions and improvements.

  • Typically viewed as a technical specialist and/or leader in one or more disciplines.

  • Works independently to perform more complex data analyses.

  • Initiates and develops more accurate and reliable data analyses and reporting methodologies.

  • Monitors new technologies and draws upon expertise to make recommendations for further exploitation of existing technologies.

  • Provides discipline-specific training to new users, employees.

  • Mentors and trains less experienced technicians.

  • Generates and completes efficiency/improvement projects.

Physical demands:

  • Travel to sites as needed.

  • May be a safety sensitive position.

Working conditions:

  • Mixture of office and site (outside) work locations

  • Working after hours, nights, weekends, holidays and on-call as needed

Supervisory responsibility:

  • May be required to perform temporary supervisory duties as needed.
