ManTech Mechanical Engineer in Crane, Indiana

Currently, our Navy Aviation Division is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Crane, IN . This is onsite position.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently with changing deadlines and priorities.

  • Tasking will include project management of products assigned, including resource management, scheduling, and quality assurance of products.

  • Work directly with vendors and manufacturers of mechanical systems, custom fabrications, and assemblies to ensure on time and sufficient deliverables.

  • Interact directly with customers to extract requirements, generate a plan, and report status.

  • Responsible for leading multi-disciplined team of engineers, logisticians, and technicians to ensure program objectives are met.

  • Candidate shall be responsible for ensuring that technical and programmatic issues associated with the effective execution of the program are resolved.

  • Candidate shall be responsible for reviewing and interpreting technical requirements and ensuring project execution.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and three (3) years or more years of experience

  • Experience with engineering design, modeling, and drawing development in SolidWorks and/or CREO Parametric

  • Experience providing mechanical/electrical engineering support to ensure procedural documents are accurate and correct

  • Experience providing mechanical/electrical engineering support for Radars systems and associated equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting NSWC Crane projects

  • Experience creating Build of Materials (BOMs) for projects

  • Knowledge of systems engineering and integration principles such as requirements definition, verification and validation testing, interface control documents (ICDs) and systems engineering management plans (SEMP)

Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship required and a Interim Secret, Active Secret, or ability to obtain prior to starting on program.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as the copy machine/computer printer.

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
