SAIC Engineering Technician II in CRANE, Indiana

Description

SAIC is seeking an Engineer Technician II to support the US Navy in Crane, IN .

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Assist with set up, operating, and maintaining laboratory instruments and equipment.

  • Conduct, compile, and interpret results of chemical and physical experiments.

  • Assist chemists and chemical engineers with testing, sampling, and analyses for a variety of research and development tasks.

  • Types of testing will be conducted using Microscopy, Thermal Analysis, and Chromatography.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:

  • Associate degree in related discipline and one-year related experience; Or, High School and two (2) years of related experience with relevant certification.

  • Candidate should have experience working with basic computer programs.

  • Candidate should have experience working in a lab.

  • Must agree to participate in a random drug screen program.

  • Must meet requirements for explosive certification program.

  • Candidate must be able to possess a Secret clearance.

  • US Citizenship required.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in general lab hygiene and techniques.

  • Work well with team and independently.

  • General lab functions, inventory, cleanliness etc.

  • Ability to train further working with senior chemists/engineers.
