WuXi AppTec Associate Director HRIS and Operations in Cranbury, New Jersey

Overview

As the Associate Director HRIS and Operation, you will fully optimize our UKG system’s performance in data management, reporting, workforce planning, and analytics. As a working leader, you will lead the systems implementation of new applications including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Talent Management, and Compensation Management. You will also contribute to and partner with other global functional areas such as Human Resources Business Partners, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Finance.

This is an on-site, hybrid role requiring in-person work at one of our sites. The location preference for this position is Cranbury, NJ or St Paul, MN

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Identify business process changes within HRIS to increase efficiency, improve overall user acceptance and experience.

  • Proactively formulate ideas and recommendations for HRIS improvements.

  • Develops HRIS policies, guidelines, security, training curriculum and conducts formal and informal training.

  • Manage the annual Affirmative Action Planning process and collaborate with internal teams and vendor.

  • Participate in new applications selection including development of RFP, vendor selection, and contract review.

  • Project manage critical new applications including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Talent Management, and Compensation Management.

  • Manage vendor performance and ensure quality delivery and support from vendors.

  • Develop integration/migration plans for existing benefits administration, ATS and performance management systems.

  • Manages the integration of multiple platforms, vendor products and technologies and coordinates the resolution of vendor related data issues.

  • Develops, designs, builds, tests, implements, maintains and enhances UKG tables, codes, and security such as creating new roles, updating/creating new business process, mass changes and data loads.

  • Develop a robust global headcount reporting framework and HR metrics package.

  • Design, run, schedule, and continuously improve custom reports.

  • Performs regular audits and coordinates with other functional areas to validate all data in UKG is current, complete, consistent, and accurate.

  • Manages UKG and iCIMS technical support.

  • Identifies and resolves UKG complex technical problems and engages additional functional resources, as necessary.

  • Adhere to confidentiality policies within Human Resources. Review and approve all HRIS user access requests based on established data security policies.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • A highly analytical, organized and detail-oriented professional who can work independently, but who also functions as a team member.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently, meet deadlines and escalate appropriately to management.

  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical constituents.

  • Ability to accurately and reproducibly perform arithmetic and algebraic calculations.

  • Ability to receive, comprehend and to effectively communicate detailed information through verbal and written communication

  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and its advanced functions, is required.

  • In depth knowledge of UKG (formerly Ultimate Software) preferred

  • Working knowledge of iCIMS Applicant Tracking System preferred

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience required.

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working with and managing Payroll and Human Resources Information Systems in an HR function.

  • 5+ years’ experience managing people and helping them grow

  • Cultural fluidity is required

  • Experience using ACCESS and SQL for data reporting desirable.

  • Experience with advanced Excel functions

  • Experience using visual data tools including Power BI or Tableau

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time; operate general office equipment; work in office setting
