System One Field Service Technician in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania
Field Service Technician Objective
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide specialized machinery repairs and technical support to our customers on-site. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong customer service skills to deliver exceptional equipment maintenance and troubleshooting services in the field.
Responsibilities:
Perform specialized mechanical repairs on industrial equipment at customer locations
Conduct field service visits for new product installations and equipment repairs
Provide technical support via telephone, online platforms, and in-person visits
Troubleshoot equipment issues and educate customers on proper product usage
Manage parts replacement requests and warranty claims
Collaborate with engineering and programming teams to resolve system issues
Document and maintain detailed service records and technical reports
Participate in final product testing and quality assurance processes
Follow up on technical solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
Travel to customer sites as required
Requirements:
High School Diploma required; Technical degree preferred
2-3 years of experience in a similar industrial environment
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
50-60% travel for customer support
Excellent deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Ability to create detailed technical reports and documentation
Experience with technical evaluation and diagnostics
Strong customer service orientation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
