Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Cowpens, South Carolina

Description

Our client seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and efficiently resolving customer inquiries. In addition, the role involves managing the processing of invoices, account reconciliations, and various other accounting tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process approximately 150-200 invoices weekly, covering both inventory and expense-related transactions.

  • Maintain and update customer records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions, for effective data management.

  • Operate and maintain the QAD ERP system for accurate financial reporting and record-keeping.

  • Perform account reconciliations, managing both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

  • Oversee billing processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.

  • Execute efficient data entry tasks with a focus on maintaining accurate credit records for customers.

  • Display initiative and a proactive approach to all assigned tasks, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed effectively.

    Requirements

  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).

  • Associate's degree in Accounting is preferred.

  • Experience in billing and invoice processing.

  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.

  • Familiarity with SAP and QAD software is preferred.

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is an advantage.

  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong focus on accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
