The successful associate will maintain a high level of productivity while ensuring that our quality levels are met at all times. The Extruding Helper is responsible for monitoring product by completing quality control checks and assisting in equipment adjustments. The Extrusion Helper will report to the Extrusion Supervisor.
*Primary Responsibilities: *
- Assist the shift supervisor in all aspects of production
- Maintain accurate production and quality control records
- Complete timely quality control checks
- Package product as required by the customer
- Alert supervisor of any problems on the line
- Assist in equipment or line adjustments
- Maintain an organized and sanitary work environment
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements and **Skills:

- Detail-oriented
- Strong reading comprehension and basic math skills
- Ability to consistently lift/manipulate over 50 pounds
- Able to work independently
- Able to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma

Language Skills: Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers.

Computer Skills: Basic ability to read and interact with a computer screen
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, and bend. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and talk or hear. The associate is often required to climb/descend steps.
The associate is frequently required to lift and/or manipulate up to 50 pounds, regularly required to lift and/or manipulate up to 75 pounds and often required to lift and/or manipulate over 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required to the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety glasses, shoes that cover the entire foot are required when walking in the extrusion area. Heat resistant gloves are required when working with the heated plastic.
