Description

Robert half has an opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Import/Export industry for our client located in Covington, Louisiana. The role entails various responsibilities related to account reconciliation, invoice processing, and data entry. This is short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of accounts payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate processing

• Conduct regular check runs to maintain the financial health of the organization

• Manage the coding of invoices to ensure proper allocation of expenses

• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure accuracy and consistency of entered data

• Process purchase orders and invoices, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry tasks and to maintain records

• Respond to any inquiries regarding invoicing and accounts payable

• Monitor the organization's accounts to identify any irregularities or discrepancies

• Provide appropriate solutions for any issues related to accounts payable and invoices

• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks, ensuring all financial data is correct

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Check Runs

• Ability to handle Coding Invoices

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in handling Purchase Orders

• Knowledge of import/export industry

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented and highly organized

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
