MAINTENANCE MANAGER - Well Established Manufacturer in Covington, GA
My client, a well-established manufacturer in Covington, GA, is searching for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations at their manufacturing facilities in Covington, Georgia. In this key role, you will ensure the optimal performance of our equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. You will be responsible for minimizing downtime, improving productivity, and upholding high safety standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead daily maintenance operations across two manufacturing plants, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted production.
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to keep machinery and equipment running efficiently and reduce the risk of unplanned downtime.
Monitor equipment performance, identifying and resolving issues before they lead to disruptions in production.
Manage and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, promoting continuous improvement and a collaborative work environment.
Provide guidance on training and professional development for team members to enhance skills and career growth.
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring proper allocation of resources and control of expenses.
Oversee maintenance activities for plant machinery, electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and building infrastructure.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs, equipment purchases, or other service needs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance-related activities.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement and addressing any safety concerns.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and maintain smooth plant operations.
Requirements
Extensive experience in maintenance management and strategic planning.
Skilled in maintenance planning and implementing effective control strategies.
Experience in facilities management, including operations and upkeep.
Ability to conduct and oversee facility inspections, ensuring compliance and functionality.
In-depth knowledge of preventive maintenance practices to optimize equipment longevity and performance.
Strong leadership capabilities to effectively manage and support a maintenance team.
Proven experience in conducting safety audits to maintain optimal facility operations and safety standards.
Commitment to driving continuous improvement in all maintenance processes.
Excellent problem-solving abilities for addressing issues quickly and effectively.
Ability to develop and implement efficient maintenance procedures to streamline operations.
Familiarity with safety, quality, and cost management goals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across teams.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
Strong organizational and leadership skills, capable of overseeing complex operations and projects.
Proficient with maintenance management software, streamlining processes and tracking performance.
