Description We are looking for a Cyber Security Awareness Trainer in the non-profit industry, located in Covina, California. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity where the individual will be responsible for providing cybersecurity awareness training to police officers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide cybersecurity awareness training to police officers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge to protect sensitive information.

• Develop and deliver engaging training materials, such as PowerPoint presentations, to facilitate understanding of cybersecurity best practices.

• Conduct in-person training sessions, ensuring all information is clearly communicated and understood.

• Create materials for those who are unable to attend the training sessions, ensuring no one is left without the necessary information.

• Cover essential cybersecurity topics during training sessions, including email security, phishing awareness, password management, and incident response.

• Keep up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity standards and practices, ensuring the training content remains relevant and effective.

• Use your experience with simulated phishing and malware to provide real-world examples during training sessions.

• Leverage your knowledge of IT training to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity concepts in an understandable manner.

• Use your understanding of the police officers and military personnel work environment to tailor the training content to their specific needs.

• Continuously assess the effectiveness of the training program and make necessary adjustments to improve its impact. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Security or related field

• Extensive knowledge of cyber security standards and strategies

• Proven ability to conduct end user training and online training sessions

• Experience in cross-training and employee training

• Proficiency in IT training and simulated phishing

• Solid understanding of phishing, malware, and email security

• Certification in Comptia Security+ is highly desirable

• Experience in managing computer security incidents and working with a computer security incident response team

• Ability to develop and implement cyber security strategies

• Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance

• Experience in security incident response

• Previous experience working with police officers or military personnel is an advantage

• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field is required
