Google HR Business Partner Manager, Data Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa

Minimum qualifications:

  • 12 years of Human Resources business partner experience including labor and employee relations, people programs, or other people roles.

  • 5 years of people management experience.

  • Ability to travel 30% to data center sites and other related events as necessary.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in labor relations in a manufacturing plant environment.

  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and influencing through relationships, knowledge, and data.

  • Experience building a team and mentoring others.

  • Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders, operate within guidelines, and question the status quo.

  • Ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis.

  • Effective teamwork, communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and customer-service skills.

As an HR Business Partner Manager for the People Consultant team, you'll lead a team of People Consultants that are dedicated to providing excellent HR expertise to data center Googlers, managers, and leaders in a variety of areas. You will build trusted relationships and identify issues early to de-escalate. You'll work towards building an inclusive organiation and community experience for data center Googlers, supporting execution of culture initiatives, increasing organizational health, and anticipating/responding to talent trends. You will serve as the liaison with the broader Google People Operations ecosystem to leverage specialized expertise and scale solutions as required. In this role, you’ll be a thought partner to your data center team members and various clients on a wide range of topics including team effectiveness, performance management, reorganizations, workplace concerns, program/project management, and more. You will help create the end-to-end People Operations support for data center Googlers to help them grow, develop, and thrive.

  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of People Consultants to deliver effective, complete HR support.

  • Build trusted relationships with Data Center leadership, cross-functional teams, and local communities.

  • Identify the cause of issues, and swiftly partner with others to implement solutions at scale that cross multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

  • Provide insightful data to guide decision making and proactive and scalable solutions.
