The Prevention Specialist is responsible for creating, implementing, and evaluating prevention and educational programs targeting issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault, bullying, and other forms of interpersonal violence. The prevention specialist works with schools, community groups, and various stakeholders to raise awareness, change behaviors, and promote a culture of respect and safety. 

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in education, social work, public health, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in prevention education, public health, or a related field. Experience in domestic violence, sexual assault, or substance abuse prevention is highly desirable.
• Candidates with at least four years of relevant lived or professional experience are encouraged to apply, as this experience will be considered equivalent to a bachelor's degree in related fields.

Other Tasks;  Maintain training hours to meet the required hours by the funders; Perform other tasks within the purview of this position as designated by the Executive Director.

• Must have a valid PA Driver's license, access to a vehicle, and be willing to transport victims, if needed;
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours;
• Must be able to obtain Act 33 and Act 34 clearances
