WestRock Company Maintenance Mechanic - Electrical in Cottonton, Alabama

Career Opportunity:

WestRock's Cottonton Sawmill is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician!

What you need to succeed:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3-5 years Industrial experience as Electrical Journeyman or 2-4 years Formal Education Certificate/Diploma (Tech School , approved apprentice program)

  • Ability to work safely.

  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings.

  • Ability to perform electrical duties in relation to NEC code.

  • NFPA 70E Trained and understanding of the PPE Required to do the job safely.

  • Ability to Install and Program Variable Frequency Drives.

  • Efficient in troubleshooting and repairing Electrical Circuits and components 12V DC to 480V AC.

  • Ability to Install and Wire Electrical Components, not limited to motor starters, encoders, photo eyes, scanners, proximity switches, limit switches, push/pull button switches, joy sticks, 2/3 position switches etc.

  • Hydraulic system knowledge and troubleshooting a plus.

  • Trouble Shoot equipment to define problem.

  • Ability and desire to learn and grow maintenance skills.

  • Available to work overtime and 3rd shift.
