SUMMIT CREDIT UNION IT Administrator Network Operations in COTTAGE GROVE, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Description Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for Network Operations? Come join a top workplace in our IT department as a IT Administrator - Network Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for design, development, configuration, and administration of routers, switches, and firewalls. Also, designing and configuring complex network systems including LAN, WAN, WLAN, network security, access control and remote access. You will maintain multiple local and remote site hardware and server operating specifications and cloud presence and is top tier for escalation of problems within the network. Essential Functions Network Operations Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure devices and applications. Ensure all network devices comply with industry best practices and follow internal security policies. Follow published policies for device patching and security vulnerability remediation. Maintain asset inventory of network devices and support contracts. Understand networking protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF. Provide tier one and tier two support. Deep understanding of network security best practices. Manage relationships with service providers, VARs, and software/infrastructure vendors. Security Adhere to vendor best practices and compliance requirements. Develop an automation strategy for patch and device configuration delivery that meets the credit union defined objectives for operation and security. Understand intrusion prevention and detection systems. Follow established incident response plans and standards. Professionally handle obscene or offensive material. Measured Outcomes Adhere to internal and external measurements to demonstrate the effectiveness of the technical operations and their impact. Adhere to metrics that demonstrate the adequacy and compliance to credit union security objectives relative to areas within scope. Supporting a culture of transparency, develop and publish metrics on overall team performance and system effectiveness relative to credit union objectives and norms. Understands and is accountable for executing all job functions in a way that is consistent with all requirements of BSA, OFAC and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Job Specifications Bachelor\'s degree in IT-related field and four years of IT experience, or five years of progressive professional Information Technology experience and demonstrated strong technical acumen through technical certification.
