WSP USA Transponder Clerk in Costa Mesa, California

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Transponder Clerk!

This position sits out of our Costa Mesa, CA office.

JOB SUMMARY

The Transponder Clerk will be opening, prepping, and scanning transponder requests. Prepping incoming electronic requests. Processing of outbound Mail by means of various postal equipment including mail inserters, postage meters, and computer and could include handling outgoing overnight packages. Other responsibilities may include initiate transponder ordering, transponder testing, return processing of malfunctioning transponders, transponder destruction, fulfillment, cycle count inventories. A Transponder Clerk may be reassigned on a long term or temporary basis to another location, other shifts, or other schedules, to balance the workforce or meet the needs of the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

  • Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues.

  • Operate office equipment in a safe manner.

  • Process customer requests for new and additional transponders.

  • Process all returned customer transponders.

  • Respond to customer transponder inquiries via electronic, email, and written requests

  • Process inbound mail, which includes requests, replacements, and returns

  • Process requests for new accounts

  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Meet or exceed performance criteria established for the position

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Supervisor may assign other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Have a basic knowledge of office programs such as Microsoft Office

  • Ability to easily acclimate to modified schedules and shifts

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and operate office equipment

  • Entry level knowledge of complex software; may prepare routine reports or correspondence

  • Sound decision-making ability to assess and determine daily duties to make time spent more efficiently.

  • Excellent verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to pass Skills Assessment Tests to be considered for an interview

  • Ability to work flexible hours from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 5 days a week, as needed to support business needs

  • Must be able to pass background and drug screenings

  • Ability to adhere to strict attendance requirements

  • Ability to achieve and maintain departmental performance standards

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful, but not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

  • Ability to adhere to attendance requirements

  • Primarily sedentary physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of 10 pounds

  • Must be able to lift, carry, walk, and stand

  • Vision for reading, recording, and interpreting information

  • Frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communication

  • Daily use of computer and keyboard, standard office equipment and telephone

  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from the computer

  • Frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and office equipment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibility

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
