Experian Senior Software Engineer - Front End in Costa Mesa, California

Join our like-minded people and make your footprint in building the latest web application. You will report to Engineering Leadership. You must be well-rounded and experienced with multiple UI technologies, frameworks, and sprint development cycles. You must be an expert in understanding large-scale JavaScript applications in the cloud, such as Angular, React, and Vue. We are looking to fill multiple roles with people who have experience working at Experian.

What you'll do

  • Prototype and integrate responsive web components using industry-leading frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue. For component development, use tools like Storybook.

  • Write clean, maintainable code following best practices. Improve existing codebases for performance, scalability, and security.

  • Work with Business, UX, QA, and backend teams to deliver high-quality functionalities. Participate in projects to enhance application features and integrations.

  • Contribute to the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile methodologies, iterative development, estimations, and design sessions.

  • Maintain high code coverage with unit and end-to-end (E2E) tests using tools like Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Protractor, and Cucumber. Document technical designs and guide non-technical staff.

  • Assess application health, monitor system performance, and use tools like Splunk for log review and investigation.

  • Develop reusable patterns, recognize opportunities for code reuse, and inspire creativity to promote collaboration. Ensure adherence to responsive design principles, web standards, and UI/UX best practices.

  • 5+ years of expert front-end development experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Experience with frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks, single-page application design, and cloud environments, AWS.

  • Proficiency in unit testing and E2E testing. Experience with testing tools like Jest, Karma, Jasmine, Protractor, and Cucumber.

  • Experience with AWS cloud solutions.

Bonus Skills

  • Active participation in open-source communities and experience with node development workflows (webpack, npm, etc.).

  • Experience with data visualization APIs and JSON (e.g., Highcharts, D3, or Google Charts).

  • Previous experience with mobile (web or native) development.

  • Experience with e-commerce login authentication and financial services.

  • Familiarity with CSS pre-processors like Sass, Less, or Stylus.
