Minimum/Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Manufacturing/Processing, Manufacturing Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, orin closely related fields. Experience conducting research in food processing/manufacturing or with techniques/skills used in food manufacturing and food systems. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Position Duties 60% Research and Scholarly Activities Develop and maintain an externally funded program conducting original and independent research and training to establish nationally and internationally recognized, externally funded research program in sustainable food and beverage manufacturing that is relevant to the local, national, and international industry sector. 30% Teaching and Advising Contribute to undergraduate/graduate student teaching in the FST program by teaching 1-3 undergraduate classes annually and 1 graduate class every other year. 10% Service Faculty are expected to be collegial members of their units, and to perform appropriate service that contributes to the effectiveness, diversity and inclusiveness of their departments, colleges, the university, and their professions.
