Minimum/Required Qualifications Ph.D. in Materials Science or related field Experience performing corrosion experiments Excellent written and oral communication skills Position Duties 60% Research and Publication/Dissemination Conduct original and collaborative scientific research in the field metals for extreme environments. 30% Laboratory Management and Support Manage and support metallurgical research laboratory including software/hardware integration and testing, safety compliance, procedure documentation, supplies purchasing, equipment maintenance, repair, and calibration services. 10% Project Management and Other Duties as Assigned Independently monitor the timely progress towards meeting technical milestones on projects, prepare reports for sponsors, and manage equipment/supplies budgets.
