ManpowerGroup Maintenance Mechanic (HVAC/Ammonia Refrigeration) in Corsicana, Texas

Our client, a leading manufacturing company is seeking a Industrial HVAC Maintenance Mechanic to join their team.

A Day in the Life...

As the Skilled Specialist in our Maintenance Department, you will oversee electrical, welding, and HVAC systems. Your role involves supporting production by performing various tasks within our facility.

What You Will Be Doing...

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, operate, and replace production and facility equipment and services.

  • Maintain system and service requirements, including troubleshooting and repair of pumps, compressors, and boiler systems.

  • Use hand tools effectively in daily tasks.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.

  • Assist in managing parts inventory.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

  • Adhere to company and industrial rules and guidelines.

  • Perform basic grounds and facility maintenance as needed.

Machines, Tools, Equipment, Work Aids Used:

Boilers, Building Control Systems, Air and Refrigeration Compressors, Concentrators, Cooling Towers, Pressurized Water Systems, Heat Exchangers, Air Cooling Systems, Shop Equipment, Ladders/Platforms, Man-lifts, Forklifts, Wastewater equipment and testing requirements.

Materials and/or Products Handled:

Ammonia, Lubricants, Plant Production Materials, Chemicals, Water, Natural Gas, Basic Electrical Components.

Employee Supervision Standards (Reports to Maintenance Supervisor):

  • Follows specific instructions and receives progress checks.

  • Seeks guidance from supervisor for complex situations.

  • Performs tasks independently once trained.

Do You Have What It Takes? (Basic Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.

  • Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, boiler, and compressed air systems.

  • Two to three years of manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Universal Refrigerant License and HVAC certifications strongly recommended.

  • Some experience with Ammonia refrigeration preferred.

  • Ability to understand technical manuals, instructions, and safety regulations.

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment safely.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.

  • Good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.

  • Visual and hearing acuity sufficient for safety.

  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions (cold, heat, humidity, noise).

Working Conditions:

  • Work alongside different machines in a climate-controlled setting.

  • Tasks may involve standing, walking, climbing, and lifting, with occasional exposure to aromatic environments.
