Scope of Position:
This position is in the Sullivan Park Operations directorate within the Laboratory Services Management & Engineering (LSME) department. The primary function of the LSME department is to provide support for Research, Development & Engineering (RD&E) activities by providing professional service in the areas of project management, infrastructure engineering and laboratory space management. This position is responsible for the implementation and execution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts to improve performance in quality, value, delivery, and safety for all aspects of the BIM Implementation Program. Time will be spent working with Project Managers (PMs) and Infrastructure Engineers (IEs) in the organization by providing BIM support and model receivership throughout the PM project life cycle. A key part of the role is understanding building architecture and infrastructure as well as being able to perform a quality assurance check of all Revit™ models received from projects. This role will be responsible for both creating and receiving accurate Revit™ models and for using Revit™ and Navisworks® software, plus other BIM related software (Recap®, Bluebeam®...etc.) to update & maintain the Sullivan Park Master Models. It will also lead program efficiency improvement efforts by utilizing BIM technologies and it will perform a variety of associated tasks & assignments, as determined by management, that support the program. Time may also be spent modeling MEP infrastructure from existing documentation and scanning point cloud data.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Coordination and facilitation of the following focus areas including, but not limited to:
Safety Responsibility for ensuring personal safety completion of all required safety training Compliance with all safety requirements Participation in and support of the department’s safety initiatives
Support, implement and execute Sullivan Park’s 3D BIM Program & 2D Documentation Strategy BIM Support (75%)
Perform field verification of record documentation received from projects (3D) Conduct quality audits of Revit™ models received from vendors, suppliers, and consultants
Integrate Revit™ models into Sullivan Park’s Master Models
Update the Sullivan Park Building Documentation Library (3D)
Update BIM Program documentation
Maintain project tracking and process compliance metrics
Investigate and introduce supporting BIM technologies into Knowledge Management
Establish professional, working relationships with Architect and Engineering (A&E) firms 3D Modeling (25%)
Model MEP infrastructure system content (backbone and branch) within the campus buildings
Coordinate and support PMs and IEs with BIM Implementation
Attend and participate in project launch meetings
Schedule and lead project post-launch meetings with A&E firms
Participate in the Design Development (DD) phase of projects by attending and providing support at project
Design review meetings
Attend and participate in project turnover meetings and close-out walk-throughs
Support PMs and IEs in their use of Revit™ and Navisworks® providing ease of information delivery
Support crisis management team in accessing model information during an event
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree (Architecture (preferred)/Civil Engineering)
BIM knowledge and Revit™ modeling experience (1-2 yrs)
Required Skills:
Competency with Revit™, Navisworks®, Recap® and Bluebeam®
Knowledge and application of BIM Management Skills
Interest in modeling MEP infrastructure systems
Knowledge of basic construction and architectural concepts
Competency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio...etc.)
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of 3D Laser Scanning and ReCap™
Knowledge of LEAN construction and principles
Knowledge of Project Management processes
Knowledge of Box, OneDrive, and SharePoint
Knowledge of Maximo®

The range for this position is $65,752.00 - $90,409.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
