Job Title: Welder/Fitter

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Fitter with 2-3 years of experience in structural steel fitting for an industrial role. The successful candidate will engage in various tasks including reading and interpreting blueprints, MIG welding, tack welding, operating hand saws and torches, and general cleanup of the shop area. This role involves fitting steel parts, operating overhead cranes, and potentially converting blueprints from metric to English. The position requires someone who can learn quickly under guidance for a few days and then start producing effectively. The role focuses on plate fitting for the fabrication of industrial furnaces, with occasional cylindrical structures.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

First Shift operates Monday to Thursday with 10-hour shifts, and optional work on Friday. The dress code includes steel-toe shoes, jeans, and a t-shirt or sweatshirt. The environment is very industrial, not climate-controlled, typically very cold in winter and hot in summer. Candidates familiar with old, non-climate-controlled facilities are ideal.
