Job Title: Associate Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Scientist for our 2nd shift to perform routine tests on finished products, stability samples, raw materials, and CV samples in a regulated laboratory environment. The role involves conducting assays, chromatographic purity tests, content uniformity using UV and HPLC, and particle size distribution using various techniques, including water determination by KF. The position also requires maintaining accurate lab notebooks and documentation in compliance with SOPs and cGMP practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine tests on finished products, stability samples, raw materials, and CV samples using UV and HPLC.

  • Evaluate test results and decide the acceptability of samples based on the results.

  • Maintain accurate lab notebooks and complete analytical reports, summaries, and documentation in compliance with SOPs.

  • Maintain laboratories with good housekeeping practices and compliance with cGMP.

  • Ensure notebooks are reviewed promptly in accordance with SOPs.

  • Analyze and interpret results in both written and oral formats.

  • Assist in the training of new analysts.

  • Conduct laboratory investigations and initiate Quality Events, CAPA, and Change Controls as needed.

  • Follow all SOPs and Safety Guidelines to ensure compliance with a cGMP environment.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with HPLC and other analytical techniques.

  • Strong background in chemistry.

  • Familiarity with FDA and GMP regulations.

  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as UPLC, UV-Vis, IR/FTIR, AA, and powder blenders.

  • Computer literacy and familiarity with analytical and process equipment.

  • Effective English written and oral communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • BS Degree in chemistry, pharmacy, or related fields.

  • 1-2 years of experience with HPLC.

Work Environment

The position is based in a lab environment regulated by FDA and GMP standards. Working hours are from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM. Interviews will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 P

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
