SUMMARY

Responsible for supplementing the Regional Marketing Manager and acts as a liaison between the zones, region, and corporate headquarters regarding regional marketing efforts.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains responsibility for planning and executing all regional sponsorships and niche marketing events. Works in tandem with Zone Operations Specialist for the event management and planning of zone-related events. Facilitates the communications and information between site coordinators and vendors. Independently manages the activities and responsibilities of employee volunteers and participating retailers, as well as determines needed staffing levels. Implements relevant and effective marketing and advertising in advance of the event. Develops contingency plans for events and independently and quickly responds to unexpected incidents. Completes pre- and post-event analysis to provide recommendations and guidance for future activities. Successful event management requires a focused, dedicated, hard-working individual with significant customer-handling experience, problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.

  • Performs analysis of marketing reports and processes. Provides input and recommendations for changes in processes for future marketing endeavors.

  • Acts as a leader regarding regional digital activities. Partners with Corporate Communications to update Subaru’s Facebook page and Twitter account to feature regional events and news.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as regional Love Promise point-of-contact by producing and coordinating Love Promise events for regional and zone employees and ensuring that the Love Promise is integrated into consumer events when applicable. Implements events and marketing efforts for Subaru Loves the Earth, Loves to Care, Loves Learning, Loves to Help and Loves Pets for the region by tracking retailer participation, ordering support materials, and ensuring that Love Promise stories are being submitted at the region, zone and retailer level.

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in sales and marketing.

  • Strong budget management experience.

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.

  • Highly successful at handling multiple priorities.

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.

  • Experience with process planning and management.

  • Extensive experience with event planning.

  • Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Subaru database, and the Internet.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to communicate with various levels of management within region, zone, and SOA as well as with retailers, vendors, and Subaru customers.

  • Strong skills at managing and adapting to change; flexible, creative, and brings innovation to job.

  • Proactive, a problem solver, shows good judgment, works toward self-improvement, accepts and successfully uses feedback.

  • Energetic and projects a strong positive presence, cooperative and reliable, committed to the job, motivates and inspires others.

  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a driving record that satisfied the requirements of SOA Driving Record Evaluation Criteria Policy. Must be approved as an “Authorized Driver” by Risk Management to operate vehicles prior to vehicle operation.

  • Ability to travel frequently and overnight, as well to work on weekends when needed (such as when an event occurs on weekend)

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) and 4-6 years' experience

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Required Travel: Up to 65% travel

  • Lift up to 50 lbs

  • Prolonged sitting at desk and working on computer.

  • Region office environment; ability to work at Zone office, Retailers, and event sites.

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

    COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $55800 - $70000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
