Core Responsibilities

Working as member of the CE team our new Senior Cloud Engineer will support the delivery of digital products across the LEGO Group. Focus is on Design, develop and maintain the cloud landing zones, core accounts, infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code in both Azure and AWS. The team also strives to identify cross-cutting concerns and addresses these through automation and self-service.

You will work closely with the other cloud engineers in the CE team and have accountabilities relating to completing the overall roadmap supporting LEGO Digital Transformation and cloud journey.

  • The role focuses primarily on helping other teams in our digital organization adopt and use the cloud, and so the candidate will be interacting extensively with other product teams.

  • Design, develop and maintain API integration layer.

  • Expand the security and compliance in the cloud.

  • Be a part of the DevOps Operating model, seeking for quality, and implementing full-scale development and peer programming.

  • React to support requests or incidents during business hours, collaborating with the team to build proactive measures and automation.

The team is a core team for the LEGO Group, providing foundational capabilities for our manufacturing space. We are supporting hundreds of LEGO engineers, making sure the newest technologies in the cloud space are available for them in a secure, compliant, and efficient manner. We are also responsible for integrating our services to the internal Developer Portal, to provide product teams with an innovative self-service DevOps experience.

Do you have what it takes?

The candidate is a resilient teammate who have hands-on experience with building cloud-native applications and a solid grasp of Cloud infrastructure, IaaS and PaaS and experience with defining Cloud infrastructures, through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.), plus experience and understanding of modern DevOps and Agile practices is encouraged.

Demonstrable experience in infrastructure and operations in Azure (and preferably also AAWS), experience designing and maintaining Landing Zones, and with ServiceBus, Azure Functions and development in Python. Awareness of, and ability to understand event-driven architecture and serverless architecture (SAM).

Maybe your technology toolbox contains frontend development experience in React, HTML, CSS, Typescript, Fetch API, Express - and NodeJSExperience working in AliCloud is a fantastic bonus.

To succeed in this role, you preferably have competence within the following:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering.

  • Independent and self-managed but shines when in a team, communicating well, and exercising initiative when presented with problems.

  • A DevOps mentality - “You build it. You run it”.

Advanced English both written and verbally are needed since we are also an international gathered team.
