WorkSource Oregon Tribal Court Administrator and Outreach Coordinator in Coos Bay, Oregon
REQUIREMENTS: * \' Must be at least 25 years of age. \' Must have a valid Oregon driver\'s license, adequate transportation, and eligibility to operate GSA vehicles required. \' Minimum two years\' experience working as a paralegal or equivalent combination of education and experience. \' Word processing and computer experience required with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Microsoft Excel). \' Must be eligible to become a registered Notary of the state of Oregon within thirty days of accepting position. \' Demonstrated organizational skills in past employment. \' Must have working knowledge of the law and legal process and the commitment to perform in accordance with the principles of fairness, objectivity, impartiality, and confidentiality. \' Must have ability to file and maintain Tribal Court filing system. \' Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English. \' This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing and criminal history background check which may include fingerprinting. \' Must have employment eligibility in the U.S. \' Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process. JOB DUTIES: * \' Coordinates and assists the Chief Judge (and other acting judges) and legal staff in administrative responsibilities. \' Maintains information management systems, including correspondence, documents and other court records ensuring accuracy. \' Maintains security for all tribal court records concerning confidentiality, public access, retention, and scheduled document destruction. \' Oversee day-to-day operations of the tribal court, ensuring it functions smoothly and efficiently. \' Ensures that court schedules, hearings, and cases are properly managed and organized. \' Coordinates and assists in the preparation of cases. \' Collects fines, fees, issues receipts, and deposits collected funds with CTCLUSI\'s Finance department. \' Assists the Chief Judge in the court\'s budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources. \' Oversees the procurement of supplies and services needed for court operations. \' Identifies and researches funding opportunities, collaborating with the Chief Judge to prepare grant applications. \' Monitors grant funds and statistical information required for grant reporting. \' Distributes the Tribal Code to State, County, and Municipal legal departments, law libraries, national websites, and interested private individuals and entities. \' Assists with the development of Tribal Court Forms, including self-help forms and instructions, and maintain said forms. \' Provides timely updated information about the Tribal Court, including the public docket, to the tribe\'s Website Manager for inclusion on the Tribal Court\'s web pages. \' In collaboration with and under the supervision of the Chief Judge, develop and distribute outreach materials, press releases, and informational materials regarding Specialty Courts. \' Prepares quarterly reports and other reports as required for Specialty Court grants.
