WorkSource Oregon Enrollment Specialist in Coos Bay, Oregon

SUMMARY Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Support Manager, this position is responsible for researching genealogy and lineal ancestry, records archiving as well as providing clerical support of filing, calendaring, front-desk coverage, correspondence, report creation, and data entry to update information in the Enrollment database. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS * Be at least 18 years of age. * Obtained a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. * Have or willingness to obtain DNA testing certification * Have basic computer skills \' preferably with Microsoft Office software. * Possess reasonable ability to communicate in English. * This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. * This is a Covered position which requires background check that includes fingerprinting. * Must have employment eligibility in the U.S. * Employer does not sponsor J-1 Visas. * Indian preference will be observed in the hiring process. PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Research in Tribal family lineage and ancestry. * Determine eligibility of all Tribal citizens for formal enrollment process. * Schedule and administers DNA testing. * Process name changes of Enrolled Members. * Enter enrollment data in to database (includes new information and updates). * Create new Tribal Member and Employee photo ID cards and Hunting, Fishing and Gather license. * Verify Tribal Member enrollments. * Assist in filing and archiving records. * Maintain and administer burial assistance benefits. * All event calendar for meeting spaces and process internal/external building use requests. * Mail correspondence and communication with Tribal Citizens. * Maintain confidentiality of vital records and family information. * Facilitate, and participates in all Enrollment Committee meetings and Tribal Council meetings when applicable. * Create membership data reports for Government departments, CEO and Administrative Support Manager. * Provide administrative support to administration and the front office as needed. * Maintain appearance standards as outlined in CTCLUSI policies. * Must be able to interact with Tribal members and the general public in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner. * Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. * Maintain a good attendance record as outlined in CTCLUSI Handbook. * Other duties as directed by management.
