How will you make a difference?
As Senior Projects Manager, you will be primarily responsible for building and maintaining a solid and trusting relationship between Wabtec and our major key clients in the region. This includes ensuring that all service level agreements (SLAs) for Collision Avoidance Systems (CAS) across the organization are delivered according to specifications. You will be the lead point of contact for all key client matters, anticipate the client’s needs, work within the company to ensure deadlines for the client are met, and help the client succeed. The Senior Project manager will also bring in new business from existing clients or contacts and will develop new relationships with potential clients.
In this role, you will manage a team and have ample opportunities for career advancement. You will also have the autonomy to make decisions and will frequently engage with diverse regions and cultures.
What do we want to know about you?
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in Project Management, Key Account, Managing Services Contracts
Advanced/Fluent English
Project management experience in a lead capacity in the Heavy industry
Strong mining, heavy industry operations experience
Strong project execution experience, including experience in monitoring methods and onsite implementations
Strong interpersonal, leadership and change management skills
Ability and willingness to travel, domestically and internationally, approximately 25-50% of the time
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good written and verbal communication skills (Proven ability to write clear, concise requirements, design and general reports)
Strong sense of time organization and urgency
Able to work independently and within a team
Solid working knowledge of computers
MS Office Suite
Aptitude for using software tools to solve problems, and enthusiasm for continuous improvement
Ability to handle several projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing complex engineering projects
Familiarity with Equipment Health Monitoring and Performance Monitoring of equipment
Formal training/certification in Project
Experience gathering customer inputs and translating to solution requirements
Demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and rapport, and develop influential relationships at all levels of an organization
Good organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving skills and a high degree of creativity/resourcefulness
Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor
Demonstrated leadership skills
High level communication, interpersonal and leadership skills including the ability to drive a team to a scheduled result
Experience in program management, ensuring contract compliance and success, while maximizing customer satisfaction.
Ability to work effectively within a highly regulated matrix organization
Sense of ownership
Self-motivated
What will your typical day look like?
One voice to the customer focused on providing a guarantee of customer satisfaction with a focus on exceeding customer expectations
Provide strong leadership and direction on all in country projects and SLAs (with strong emphasis on the service side of site agreements) while ensuring service management best practices.
Regional CAS Independent Third Party agreement relations manager (high focus on the spare parts, new installations, training, and partner support mechanisms)
Managing communications between key clients and internal teams
Monitoring SLA performance for compliance with organizational needs and requirements.
Support commercial team on proposals, opportunities and Services Agreement including estimation of resource time required for a project
Scheduling & tracking of project and services resources ensuring a high level of utilisation and productivity
Financial status of project, schedule & margin targets & managing customer expectations
Developing Leadership skills in other Team members.
