WestRock Company Cutting Operator in Conover, North Carolina
Summary:
Responsible for daily operation of cutters while maintaining production numbers, quality, and safety. Maintain housekeeping and 5S to standards set by management. Follow all WestRock Core Values and Behaviors. Additional job duties as assigned by department manager.
Responsibilities:
Determine priorities.
Pre-make ready as required.
Make-ready as required.
Perform general maintenance of the cutting presses.
Perform daily operation of the cutting department by staging loads to be cut.
Enter production in computer.
Check one carton per die position on each load for correct cut and register.
Support plant policies and initiatives.
Increase department wide communication (particularly using e-mail)
Plan MR\u2019s and run speeds in advance and report successes for failures
Understands the department\u2019s key goals and gives feedback on progress or the lack thereof.
Communicate with opposite shift
Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
Prior machine operating experience within a manufacturing facility preferred
