Job Description
WHAT’S THE JOB?
Based in a world class Horizon North camp facility, the regular shift for this position is 7 days on and 7 days off, with 12-hour workdays. Transportation is provided to site from the closest airport.
The Lodging Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Lodging operates in accordance with clients Policies and Procedures. . The successful candidate will assist in coordination of camp operations, as well as site janitorial
This position is safety sensitive and requires drug, alcohol, and fit to work testing as a condition of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Enforce a standard of excellence regarding operations, cleanliness, and food quality
Conduct regular camp and site janitorial inspections and audits
Handle, follow up, and track all Communication Forms and Maintenance Requests
Champion and participate in clients Safety Leadership Development Program
Review, submit and action any Hazard Observation Forms from camps and site janitorial
Track camp infractions with the assistance of security and occurrences related to Lodging
Assist the Logistics Coordinator with flight check in and other duties as required
Assist social committee where required when activities take place
Maintain effective relationships with internal stake holders
Ensure contractors comply with clients’ standards, expectations, AHS & other regulatory guidelines
Ensure efficient processes and practices are in place & regularly monitor for compliance. Propose enhancements where appropriate
Ensure safe work environment standards are in place and operating effectively
Participate/support in strategic Lodging operational initiatives
Assist/maintain the daily operations of the contractor Lodging and Site Janitorial teams
Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You have a minimum 3+ years of Camp operations experience in a supervisory role.
Experience with Orissa and/or CIRYS is an asset
Knowledge of OH&S, AHS and other applicable regulations and codes is essential
Strong supervisory, interpersonal, networking, negotiation and diplomacy skills
Strong judgement and discretionary skills in both formal and informal communication
Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage competing priorities, effectively in a changing environment and within defined timelines
Desire to drive continuous improvement, with strong attention to detail
Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Requirements: Food Safe Level 1, and H2S Alive
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
