A Software Product Manager establishes clear business justifications based on customer needs for future products, manages product lifecycle from concept through end of life, and drives business decisions within the software product portfolio. This associate will own a segment of the software portfolio and will lead cross functional teams to manage the business and chart the future path.

Responsibilities:

• Business Planning

• Monitors financial performance of the Software product lines to ensure business goals are met and develops countermeasures when performance is not met.

• Tracks the competitive landscape, monitors competitor products and marketing activities, performs win/loss analysis.

• Generates and executes business planning for current commercial portfolio, by understanding and addressing the changing needs of the most attractive segments.

• Product Development

• Interact with internal and external customers globally to understand valuable problems and unmet needs.

• Collaborating with internal partners, develop product concepts and business case, providing frequent updates to leadership and key stakeholders.

• Interact with key internal and external customers globally to understand problems, obtain feedback on new and existing products, and identify solutions.

• Plan and execute market research to identify opportunities for current and future products.

• Influence and drive product roadmaps based on customer and market insights that you generate.

• Product Lifecycle Management

• Manage all aspects of product from concept through end of life.

• Monitor product adoption and success through collaboration with Sales Training, and Sales and Marketing partners.

Education and Work Experience:

• Chemistry or Life Science Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced degree is preferred.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Science/Engineering or Marketing/Business role. One year of Product Management, or marketing, or sales experience highly desired.

• Demonstrated intimate knowledge of Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, and their application in Pharma/Biopharma, Food/Beverage, Clinical, Environment and/or Forensics.

• Experience working in a global environment, having participated with cross functional teams on projects in a in fast paced, performance-oriented environment. We work in teams and we support each other, and share our wisdom. The role will expose you to opportunities that have a big impact, and influence the products and services we make, that in turn influence the success of our customers in spaces such as drug development, and food safety.
