Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

Seeking passionate students to support standardizing work instructions

Your Responsibilities

  1. Perform time studies using an Observation Preparation Sheet and analyzing using a Manual Observation Time Sheet.

  2. Create and analyze Standardized Work Combination Table. Create and analyze Standardized Work Chart. Create and analyze Work Balance Table

  3. Understand Process Stability/Repeatability – consistently meet productivity, quality, cost, lead time, safety, and environmental targets.

  4. Audits identify weakness/problems in manufacturing and to prioritize them. Develop standard work by operators for operators and engage employees and involve them.Reducing variation to achieve process stability for continuous improvements initiatives.

  5. Training to standardized work after buy offs are completed.Create cycle and long cycle work instructions.

  6. Ensure compliance and enforcement of Customer Specific Requirements including QMS (IATF16949), Health and Safety (ISO 45001), EMS (ISO14001), and Security (PIP) requirements.

  • Students who are currently in a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering program with a College of University

  • Adaptability, Communication/Presentation/Moderation, Continuous improvement / Problem Solving, Innovation & Creativity, Integrity, Performance under Pressure, Project Management, Responsibility & Initiative, Self-Development, (Strategic) Decision-Making, Teamwork / Collaboration

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent computer skills, Strong organizational and analytical abilities
