This position is assigned to the New HEIGHTS Unit and reports to the Testing Unit Supervisor.RESPONSIBILITIES:Conduct system acceptance testing for production problems and/or new system enhancements to simulate typical New HEIGHTS work functions.Analyze test cases for accuracy and completeness to ensure end results are consistent with Federal and State law, DHHS rules and policy, and end user procedure.Identify, analyze, and document discrepancies and inaccuracies in all distinct regions of New HEIGHTS functionality, including developing and tracking production problem reports.Confer with functional leads, contract staff, and New HEIGHTS management to determine the scope of system testing and to clarify problem reports.Communicate system functionality issues, including discrepancies between policy and proposed changes, to functional leads and subsystem analysts, and work toward resolution of issues.Participate in business design sessions with DHHS program staff, New HEIGHTS personnel, and contract staff to discuss potential program discrepancies and system functionality issues, and propose alternative solutions.Develop comprehensive and highly detailed test plans, scenarios, and matrices to ensure the entire scope of all system enhancements and changes are thoroughly tested before software is released to end users. Develop or update Report Descriptions to accurately reflect the purpose and content of the report.Provides support to the New HEIGHTS Help Desk which entails responding to questions and issues, registering NH EASY providers, resetting passwords, analyzing problems to determine whether they are system problems or user error, determining workarounds and instructing providers on resolutions.Review and analyze all DHHS programs, policies, and proposed changes to insure policy compliance and integration in the New HEIGHTS system.Maintain extensive and accurate knowledge of, and accurately apply and integrate, complex and changing federal and state program and policy, business processes of all New HEIGHTS users, and automated systems to ensure consistent and accurate software application.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.Experience: Two years professional or paraprofessional experience in public assistance, client or customer service-related work, researching, reviewing program regulations and policies, or testing of computer application software, with responsibility for planning, monitoring programs, or performing research.
