Lilly Master Scheduler - Planning in Concord, North Carolina

The Supply Chain organization has responsibility for scheduling the assembly and packaging processes for Concord, NC Device Assembly, Packaging, Parenteral operations. The Master Scheduler Planning is a key contact for all technical and tactical planning information in the area and is the key link for all functions in the plant and in the broader supply chain for scheduling updates and issue resolution.

The Master Scheduler is responsible for evaluation of capacity requirements for a resource and developing the assembly, packaging and/or parenteral schedule. The Master Scheduler’s focus is translating demand forecasts (commercial, development, projects) into the master schedule (planned in monthly and weekly buckets) and preparing the various sets of data to support the Capacity Requirements Plan (CRP) and Sales Inventory and Operations Plan (SI&OP) to align all site production-related activities.

Safety & Quality

• Maintain a safe workplace through proper ergonomic practices

• Maintain a state of compliance (learning plan, SOP adherence, etc.)

Planning/Scheduling

• Alignment and optimization of both the short- and long-term production plans with operations capacity constraints to drive production to inventory targets for assembled and packaged materials

• Prepares and presents the data for CRP, SI&OP and other presentations as needed.

• Converts the production plan to a master shop floor schedule

• Member of the Process Team, working with operations to resolve capacity challenges and unplanned production issues

• Timely processing of past due process orders

• Serve as a general hub for all schedule related communication in the flow team; represent supply chain at flow and lead team meetings as required

• Work with Purchasing colleagues to ensure component availability to meet the plan

Capacity Management

• Generate, analyze, and report plant capacity analysis

• Perform scenario analysis to understand impact of various strategic options

Customer Service

• Networks with all stakeholders to assure production plan is achievable

• Works with upstream and downstream global supply chain resources as necessary to align plans; works with other schedulers to trade off resources, as necessary

• Integrates alternate demand into production schedule to meet site needs

SAP knowledge & Metrics

• Thorough understanding of SAP processes such as Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirements Planning (MRP) as well as processing of exception messages.

• Help set up SAP master data as necessary; work to ensure data is maintained accurately (recipes, standards, data clean-up, etc.)

• Generates OSSCE (Operational Standards for Supply Chain) metrics

• Pareto analysis of OSSCE metrics

• Work with stakeholders to improve plant supply chain processes and performance

Knowledge / Experience in Manufacturing, Packaging, and/or Customer Service

• Strong organizational and Project Management skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of MRPII, OSSCE helpful, SAP experience

• Customer oriented

• Excellent Computer skills (e.g., MPS, MRP, SAP, APO, Excel)

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other technical field of study

• APICS certification preferred

Additional Information:

• Normal workday: Monday through Friday.

• May need to be available off shift to respond to operational issues as needed

• travel required may be required
