OILES AMERICA CORPORATION 1st shift Forming Operator in Concord, North Carolina

Oiles America Corporation, an innovator in self-lubricating bearing technologies, is seeking aForming Operator between the hours 7:00 AM to 3:00 PMfor our North Carolina facility. The ideal candidate is responsible for operating forming equipment to produce quality parts at established production standard and rate.Are you the one we are looking for?

Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous production/manufacturing experience of at least 2 years
  • Troubleshooting/mechanical experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Metal stamping press skills preferred
  • This position requires a basic command of the English language
  • Proven troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints (part prints and equipment)
  • Strong multi-task and organizational skills
  • Ability to use and understand measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, scales
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic metric skills
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Some computer skills

Essential Functions

  • Accurately record production, scrap, and defect information
  • Complete paperwork on timely basis and submit to group leader at shift end
  • Perform other assignments as directed by team leader or group leader
  • Authority to stop production related to quality issues
  • Perform daily housekeeping (5S) duties within department
  • Inform shift team leader of any potential problems that relate to safety, quality, or productivity
  • By using specific measurement gauges, perform required quality control checks to insure established standards are met
  • Record QC data per third party certification documentation and SPC requirements
  • Perform visual inspections of materials and finished products per visual standards
  • Manufacture required number of parts per kanban board schedule
  • Order production components and supplies from warehouse
  • Maintain proper safety procedures when operating equipment
  • Degrease parts and repack finished product

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
  • Ability to stand for at least 8 hours per day
  • Ability to stoop, bend and reach to perform duties
  • Ability to effectively hold and utilize small hand tools and fasteners
  • Ability to visually detect small defects in materials and parts
  • Ability to hear buzzers, horns, and/or warning signals emitted by production equipment
